6th Day of Christmas: Worship

“And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”” -Luke‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Imagine the shepherds in the fields that night. They were ordinary people going about their daily work when suddenly the sky exploded with the sound of heavenly worship. The angels proclaimed the birth of Jesus, bringing a message of glory to God and peace to the world.

This passage reminds us that worship is both a response to who God is and a reflection of His work in our lives. The angels declared God’s glory because Jesus’ birth was the ultimate act of His love and grace. Similarly, our worship should flow from an awareness of what God has done for us through Christ.

But notice something else: worship isn’t confined to a specific place or moment. The angels sang in an open field, inviting shepherds—ordinary people like us—into the joy of heaven’s song.


When we get busy with life, it’s easy to overlook the opportunity to worship. It doesn’t have to be in church or during a formal moment; worship can happen anywhere—through a song, a prayer, or even a quiet moment of gratitude.
Let your heart join the angels’ song. Give glory to God, not just for what He has done, but for who He is: the loving, merciful Savior who brings peace to our lives.
