April 13, 2023- The Lord Will Supply All My Needs

“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” -Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

In 2019, the graduates of Morehouse college received a graduation gift that they did not expect. As they were excited about walking the stage, they would be even more excited about the message that the commencement speaker would give them. Tech billionaire Robert Smith was slated to give a message of encouragement and advice to the young men at the all male college. During his message, he said we are going to get you started off the right way. If you have a student loan that helped you attend this university, my gift to you is that it is paid in full. Every student that walked the stage would have their student loan debt paid off and would never have to worry about it again. The amount totaling $34 million. For the billionaire, it was easily done with his resources.

Thinking about what this one man did, how much more is God able to do? The Apostle Paul gives a reminder that God will supply our needs according to His riches and glory. He supplies our needs not based on what our needs are, but what He has at His disposal. God created everything, has access to everything, and has the ability to meet your needs with these resources. When you are in need, God can give you the message “paid in full” because he’s got it like that.
