April 29, 2023- When I Am Weak, God Gives Me More Strength.

“He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.” -Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭29‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Growing up, I used to watch a movie called Little Giants. This was a movie about a youth football team that was comprised of kids who could not make the other team, but just wanted an opportunity to play. As they start off, they are not a very good team. They are always scared and didn’t necessarily have the  skills to complete with any other team. As the season moves forward, the Little Giants get better with each week. The moment finally comes for the Little Giants to play the Cowboys.  This team tries to find any way possible to beat the Cowboys. There is a point where one of the athletes passes out a bunch of Alka Seltzer to the rest of the team. He states, “I use these for acid indigestion.” The kid responded, “What are we going to use them for?” With excitement, he yells, “Intimidation!” As they put the tablets in their mouth, the foam starts rolling down their chins and the other team is afraid. They made some progress and begin to gain confidence to win the game.

There are moments in our lives where we feel weak and inadequate. Moments where we feel that we can’t gain the strength to come out victorious. But there is an Alka Seltzer moment in our lives where God shows up to give us what we need. He gives power to the weak and increases might to those who have no strength. When God gives you what you need, there is no limit to what you can achieve. It is always good to know that you don’t have to stay in your condition. You have help to make it through.
