April 29, 2024: I Am Going To Stay In The Word

Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law. -Proverbs 29:18 NKJV

If you have ever seen kids at a venue unattended, they don’t always make the best decisions. Peter Piper, Chuck E. Cheese, Urban Air, Jumping World just to name a few. Because they have no direct supervision, there are moments they do not exhibit any self control. They may be overactive, say words they wouldn’t normally say, and do things they wouldn’t normally do. Without the guidance around them to help them, they do what they want and that may not always be the best thing.

Where there is no divine guidance from God, the people can’t control themselves. When God’s Word is not consistently a part of our life, our flesh takes over and our decisions may not honor God. When we have His Word, wisdom, and guidance as a part of our life, it gives us what we need to be successful. We have to come to a place in our lives where we are ok with our way not taken precedence over what God is wanting to do in our lives. Where there is no vision, the people perish. If God has given us something to live with and for, we know we are destined for something great.
