When I think of the love of God and His amazing grace, I am more than amazed. I am grateful beyond words, deeply humbled, and I am forever changed.

It has been made clear to me that this life is about knowing God and making Him known. The Father God gave Jesus, His only Son to be a ransom for all mankind, that whoever would believe in Him would be saved.

Jesus willingly became a living sacrifice. He came that mankind might know God and be reconciled to their loving Creator. Jesus lived His entire life for the will of another. Jesus always did only those things that pleased His Father.

The Scriptures teach that the Glory of God is revealed in the face of Jesus Christ. We can know God our Father by having a real relationship with His Son.

In prayer, we can become intimately and intricately acquainted with the Lord. We can draw so near that we hear His soft whispers. We can get so close that we feel His gentle nudges. Sincere prayer is a dialogue, where each person speaks and each person listens. Waiting to hear what the Lord has to say is vital, He alone has the words of life. Listen.

Reading and studying the Scriptures will make clear the Lord’s acts and His ways. As we read and study the Word, the Word reads us. It reveals God to us and reveals us to ourselves.

We have been given everything required to live a life pleasing to God. We have His Light, we have His Life, and His Gospel within our hearts. When we were saved, His Light and His Life filled us.

The Disciple John testified that he knew Jesus was the Son of God because the Glory of God was upon Him. He was full of Grace and truth, always kind, gentle, merciful, generous, patient, forgiving, and compassionate. He was a friend to sinners. He loved at all times. He went about doing good, feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and raising the dead.

Even on the cross, while dying, Jesus considered others. Though His mortal body ached and was pierced and bruised, He did not rail nor accuse. His behavior spoke to the thief on the cross beside Him, and the seasoned Centurion soldier, standing by the cross also. The love and grace Jesus displayed impacted both. The glory of God was revealed. The thief asked to be remembered in the Lord’s Kingdom. The Centurion declared that Jesus truly was the Son of God.

As believers in Christ, we were crucified with Him at the cross where His matchless blood was shed and removed our sin debt. Now, we no longer live for ourselves, but for the one who died for us and rose again.

When people see us, the Body of Christ coming, may they always see and experience the love, mercy, forgiveness, kindness, patience, compassion of God in us and glorify our Father in Heaven.
