It's Not As Bad As It Seems

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. -Proverbs 18:10 KJV

Many times we are quick to complain about every little thing. There are sometimes we can find
ourselves complaining, and we not know it because we do it so much. It’s almost our second
nature for some. However, there should be a time where we stop complaining, and we start
thanking the Lord, for all he has done. As children of God we should be slow to complain and
quick to give thanks. If we are transparent for a moment the Lord has been good to us all, in
spite of our mess ups and hang ups. Even with all the mistakes we have made, the Lord has
spared us time and time again. I’m sure you can think of many opportunities where you should
have been given the ultimate punishment, but because of God’s grace we are still here.

The encouragement we have is given to us in our scripture “The name of the LORD is a strong
tower: The righteous run to it, and is safe.” Certainly, with this in mind we can agree “It’s not as
bad as it seems.” Even with all we go through, we have the assurance that we are safe. For
those who have confessed the Lord Jesus as Savior and Lord, we have the ability to call on the
Lord and run to him. We have been provided a direct line of communication when we call on
the Lord. No matter what the situation or circumstances that we may face when we call on the
Lord, he is a strong tower.

We should not allow anything to keep us from calling out to the Lord. Everything we need is in
the name of the Lord. All we have to do is call on his name. He will come whenever we call him.
The Lord is strength, the Lord is joy, the Lord is peace, The Lord is a way maker. All we have to
do is run to him. We may run into problems, but the Lord will be there to help us through them
all. All we have to do is rely on him to get us through the tough moments. If we trust in him and
do as he says, things will work out in our favor. With God we can conquer any storm or
obstacles that come our way. “It’s not as bad as it seems.”
